Nexus Notifier — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Nexus Notifier is a Chrome extension companion for the Nexus web application,
intended only for authorized employees of Meleine and Provelia.
Data collected and stored locally
-
Authentication token — read from the Nexus website after login
(
nexus_token), stored in chrome.storage.local on the user's device.
-
Nexus API URL — saved at login to call the employer's backend.
-
Extension state — IDs of alerts already shown, cached business data
(notifications, time tracking).
We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
How data is used
- API calls to your employer's Nexus backend (notifications, time tracking, teams).
- Desktop notifications via Chrome's notifications API.
- Extension popup display (time tracking and alerts).
Chrome permissions
- storage — session and preferences.
- alarms — periodic background sync.
- notifications — desktop alerts when not on Nexus.
- tabs — detect if the active tab is Nexus (avoid duplicate alerts).
- Host access (Nexus + API) — read login token on Nexus and call the backend only.
This extension does not read other websites and does not request access to all sites
(https://*/*).
Data transfer
Data is transferred only between the user's browser and Nexus servers (e.g. Railway).
No third-party analytics or advertising services.
Deletion
Local data is removed when the user logs out of Nexus, uninstalls the extension,
or clears extension data in Chrome.
